Maintaining Australia’s energy infrastructure

As a key player in Australia’s energy sector, Duratec applies its considerable expertise in the inspection, remediation, protection and maintenance of assets to ensure the country’s energy infrastructure remains operational for years to come.

The energy sector is critical to Australia’s economy, which means the ongoing functionality of infrastructure is vital. Energy assets include power generation facilities, transmission and distribution networks, fuel infrastructure and renewable energy installations, and Duratec has the capability to extend their operational life.

The first port of call is usually an inspection of the asset, where Duratec’s engineers investigate any deterioration and compile a condition assessment. From there, options include remediation works, asset protection solutions, maintenance programs and ongoing asset management.

In providing such solutions, Duratec offers services including concrete repair, blasting and painting, and mechanical offerings, such as welding, boilermaking and rigging. We are also able to provide electrical and instrumentation services, and the installation of insulation and cladding.

Duratec is also playing a significant role in Australia’s transition to renewable energy. Through our wholly owned subsidiary WPF, we are undertaking the decommissioning of offshore oil and gas operations. Services include pre-works surveys, access design and engineering, preparatory works to platform topsides, and removal assistance of topside and substructure components.
