Nearly every structural asset requires some form of waterproofing system to prevent water ingress or escape. Waterproofing solutions can be performed on the smallest planter box to the largest multi-storey building roof top, to basements, carparks and underground infrastructure.

Duratec is experienced in the selection and quality installation of all types of waterproofing systems including structurally engineered injection solutions, liquid applied membranes, torch-down membranes, adhesive applied sheeting, plural component elastomers or a combination of all of them. Our waterproofing systems are specially formulated to provide your structures with the best asset protection against water and moisture into unwanted areas.

Waterproofing preformed sheet

Preformed sheet membranes

Our sheet membrane systems are reliable and durable thermoplastic waterproofing solutions that can fulfill the requirements of even the most demanding below-ground structures. Duratec can deliver multi-layer torch-down, PVC and self-adhesive applied membrane solutions with proven performance due to their composition of asphalt, filler, and polymers.

Preformed sheet membranes can be a perfect solution if your structure if it is exposed to highly aggressive ground conditions and stress.

Cementitious waterproofing

Water based membranes can be used in a wide variety of areas and surfaces due to their water resilient characteristic and ease of use. Duratec has proven experience in delivering Cementitious waterproofing for bridges, dams, sewage and water treatment plants, and tunnels.

Bituminous coating waterproofing

Bituminous coatings’ polymer grade and reinforced fiber properties provide flexibility and protection against water. This method is also referred to as asphalt coating, which is perfect for concrete foundations.

Liquid membranes

Liquid-applied waterproofing membranes are designed to give your asset the best possible moisture protection. These liquid-applied products provide a monolithic and feature strong adhesive properties that will bond with most surfaces.

Liquid membranes are available in polymer-modified asphalt or polyurethane liquid and compared with cementitious waterproofing, offer more flexibility and greater ease of application.

Crack Injection Negative Waterproofing

Negative waterproofing

Got a leak and can’t get to the source? Our negative (interior) waterproofing solutions can solve your problem! Negative waterproofing is a technique where waterproofing is applied to the internal surface of a structure, usually when there is no access to the external surface or where continuity is not possible.

Negative waterproofing is typically used in below-ground situations in which it is impractical to apply waterproofing to the exterior side. While applying barrier protection to the exterior of the structure is always preferable, negative (interior) side waterproofing can offer a multi-defence
strategy for below ground structures.

Typically, there are two stages to a negative treatment: First, a correction to the surface to enhance the watertightness; and second, a barrier coating to prevent water from entering the internal environment.

Integral crystalline waterproofing (ICW) can be a perfect negative waterproofing solution for high-water areas as it can prevent the movement of water through the concrete by plugging or blocking the natural pores, capillaries and micro cracks, thereby making concrete its own waterproofing barrier. ICW is a good solution to block water passage from positive (exterior) side, negative (interior) side or from within the concrete itself.
