Duratec was engaged by Rio Tinto to remediate a number of fixed plant assets at their West Angelas iron ore mine in the Pilbara.

Details

The scope of work included repairs and blasting and painting to beams, columns, braces and concrete plinths, including the application of protective coatings to external surfaces.

Hotworks and structural steel remediation works were also performed. A shedder and deflector plates were site fabricated and installed; and compensating plates were also installed.
