Duratec Australia was engaged by Brookfield GIS to undertake a facade investigation of 132 Murray Street, Perth, WA.

Details

132 Murray Street was constructed in 1927 as the state electricity headquarters and consists of a ground level with two upper floors.

The investigation was carried out using an EWP access and highlighted widespread concrete deterioration which included cracking and debonding of the render and cracking of the brickwork. The roof was found to be severely deteriorated.

All findings were presented in a concise report including plain language explanation of the root causes of deterioration, location of all defects marked up on drawings and remediation options inclusive of realistic budget estimates.
