Duratec is proud to announce that it has successfully completed its first surveillance audit as part of its ISO 19443 certification and remains a leader in the construction industry.
ISO 19443 is the international standard specifically designed for organisations supporting the nuclear supply chain and covers ITNS activities for construction and remediation of infrastructure such as defence and radiological waste facilities.
Achieving ISO 19443 goes beyond systems and drives cultural change. The standard embeds a strong nuclear safety culture focused on accountability, traceability, workforce competency, risk management, and encouraging people to question and speak up when quality concerns arise.
In its recent surveillance audit, Duratec was praised for demonstrating a “clear, proactive, and well-informed commitment to nuclear safety and nuclear-quality excellence” as well as “high-integrity
leadership behaviours” and “total and unambiguous alignment with ISO 19443 nuclear-safety expectations.”
Duratec is currently operating across 40+ Defence sites nationally. ISO 19443 strengthens the Company’s ability to deliver these safety-critical infrastructure projects across the Australian Defence sector and enhances the Company’s industry leadership, positioning it for future growth.
