Duratec appoints Nigel Sweeney to Executive Leadership Team as Executive Manager – Growth & Strategy

Duratec is pleased to announce the appointment of Nigel Sweeney as Executive Manager – Growth & Strategy, joining the Company’s Executive Leadership Team with immediate effect.
Since establishing the Growth & Strategy function in 2023, Nigel has played a pivotal role in shaping Duratec’s strategic direction and building the capabilities, governance frameworks and growth platforms required to support the Company’s expansion objectives.
As a qualified lawyer, Nigel brings a strong commercial background spanning strategy, external affairs, contract management and corporate governance in multi-national organisations. This breadth of experience has enabled Duratec to successfully navigate complex growth opportunities while strengthening the Company’s strategic and commercial capability.
Under his leadership, the Growth & Strategy function has evolved into a key driver of strategic initiatives across corporate planning, investor relations, mergers and acquisitions, sustainability, governance, marketing and communications. Nigel has led several significant strategic initiatives, including the formation of DXP Energy Solutions and the establishment of Duratec (PNG) Limited Company’s presence across new markets, sectors and geographies while strengthening the foundations required to support future growth.
