Clean Up Australia Day was first launched more than 30 years ago, when an “average Australian” decided to make a difference in his own “backyard” – Sydney Harbour. Since then, it has been held every year on the first Sunday in March and is now the country’s largest community-based environmental event.

This year, Duratec teams across the country mobilised either on site, at the office or at other Clean Up locations, donating their time to rid their surrounds of both rubbish and recyclables. Staff from the Adelaide, Melbourne, Hobart, Launceston and Perth branches were particularly well organised,
with all locations seeing a solid turnout.

That’s the great thing about events like these – not only are you stepping up and doing your bit for the environment, you’re spending time with your workmates. It’s the ultimate team-building event!
