Curtin University drew on Duratec’s experience in facade restorations with the award of various areas for refurbishment at their Bentley campus.
Buildings 610, 611 and 612 required a makeover to rectify a corrosion issue to fascia panels and structural steel elements, along with the application of a fresh coat of paint to the external of the buildings.
Duratec specialises in facade refurbishments and immediately went about delivering the scope of works which included the replacement of perspex sheeting, removal and off-site powder coating of sun awnings, refurbishing gutters and air conditioning ducting and full painting of the brick, masonry and steel surfaces.
- The project required a variety of specialist trades to complete the works.
- In total, over 3000m2 of surface area was brought back to life.
- A mixture of two-pack epoxy industrial coatings and architectural paints were supplied by Dulux.
