About the National Carillon
Project Constructed in 1970, the 50-metre National Carillon underwent critical remediation after decades of wear. Duratec delivered a tailored solution that blended modern technology with traditional techniques, including structural inspections, petrographic analysis, heritage render design, spalling and crack repairs, reinforcement installation, joint sealant replacement, and protective coatings. A 3D model and digital defect management system ensured real-time updates and precision throughout the project. The result: a revitalised landmark preserved for future generations.
About the Berth C & D Project
Duratec successfully delivered a $76 million wharf remediation project, expanding to 126% of its original scope. Leveraging Early Contractor Involvement, the team utilized detailed spatial mapping and 3D modelling to overcome tidal, access, and shutdown challenges. Innovative marine platforms, bespoke scaffolding, and hybrid access strategies ensured seamless execution. Operating under a Target Cost Estimate Contract, Duratec maintained financial alignment while resolving 745 defects and integrating variation works—delivering a future-ready asset with precision and innovation.
