Ahead of International Women’s Day on 8 March, Duratec proudly reaffirmed its commitment to gender equity in construction.
As corporate members of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), we recognise that progress isn’t just about representation, it’s about creating an environment where talented women thrive, and where our people actively advocate for inclusion and equity across our industry.
Our renewed corporate membership, gives all our people across the Duratec Group and subsidiaries, free access to NAWIC resources. This reflects our belief that meaningful change happens when we work together to challenge stereotypes, break barriers and support professional growth.
We recently spoke with Sophia Oldin, Consulting Engineer at MEnD (A Duratec Company), who shared her experience and the benefits gained through NAWIC’s Mentoring Program.
Mentorship is just one of the many excellent resources that’s available through the NAWIC community, and the program is an example of how connection, support and shared knowledge helps build a more inclusive future for our industry.
