Duratec was engaged too conduct a technical survey of the west and east facades of this building on Havelock Street, West Perth.
The project involved the use of rope access personnel to map and record defects on the precast concrete panels and ceramic glazed brickwork.
Carbonation testing was performed on selected precast concrete panels.
All findings were presented in a concise report including plain language explanation of the root causes of deterioration, remediation options and inclusive of realistic budget estimates to repair the building.
- IRATA level 3 rope access technicians were engaged for the works.
- All works were completed with no disruption to building occupants or visitors.
- The client received a formal report which clearly explained the issues on the facade and how they may be addressed to extend the life of the building.
